Felsengraf Steakhouse in Dahn

Here in the Palatinate, cheap "New Wine" is advertised. A real customer magnet. If you want to order it, the answer you get is that it has already gotten old. Means: already drunk. Then why is it still being advertised? Good old peasant fishing. The food can be said to be solid. But you should be prepared for steep prices. If you want to eat your fill, it is best to order 2 servings. The ambience is beautiful. On the part of the service, however, a lot of hectic is spread. In addition, you can only order from the head waiter, since everyone else does not speak German. More appearance than reality. But there are probably enough stupid tourists.

Although the steakhouse had few guests and enough service staff were on site, everything took a long time. The team (partly) was not attentive, listless and unfriendly. We would have liked to have ordered more drinks. The coffee / espresso was bad ("Bodenseekaffee"), and when the complaint was made, only the sentence: "That machine does!" Maybe you just have to set the fully automatic machine a little higher! The food was ok

As the name suggests, you can eat a really good steak here. Nice beer garden, right on the hiking trail. Stopping off is definitely worth it.

Very nice restaurant in the hut style with a large terrace and very tasty dishes. The burgers are particularly recommended. The staff - well, a little more friendliness couldn't hurt.

Very tasty burgers. Very nice staff, who could have been a little more attentive. A quarter of an hour is long between assigning a table and receiving the menu and ordering the drinks. However, we were allowed to move from the terrace to the inside without any problems when there was a free space there. The good food made up for the waiting time, so no star deduction.

The food was really fantastic. If you consider that the meat comes from our own production, the prices are completely okay. But the staff could be more ambitious. You hardly heard a friendly sentence and the menu was thrown on the table without comment. Therefore only 3 stars.

Not good. After we had to wait 40 minutes for our cappuccino, which unfortunately still wasn't there, we canceled because we would not have made our hike in time if we had waited longer. Reaction from the very unfriendly staff: none! A sorry would have been enough, unfortunately that didn't happen. Well, we weren't hotel guests ... maybe it was because of that.

Drinks were consumed quite soon after we were seated, but after half an hour there was still no one from the staff at the table to take the food. If the restaurant had been fully booked now, one might have been able to understand, but that was not the case.

Absolutely poor service ... Unfriendly, incompetent and lazy. Incredibly a shame for the location and the house. Incredible that this service is tolerated by the owners. You can order a maximum of one drink and a meal if requested.

Nice atmosphere, prices for steaks are a bit high, but guessing they are good.

Great, casual atmosphere. You sit very well, especially outside. There is no crazy menu, but a good selection of pizza, pasta, burgers and steaks. Salads and desserts anyway. Some vegan dishes too. The service is very nice and the prices are reasonable. Great!

Each meal was good in itself ... Synchronization of food and drinks is expressly NOT the strength of the steak house. And now there is absolutely no rush. How does it work with a full house ... m

Today seven of us went to the Felsengraf steak house after a hike, hungry and looking forward to a good lunch. We experienced extremely unfriendly staff, totally exorbitant prices and unfortunately no quality at all enjoy your meal. If only we had packed an apple! Total flop!

Always very beautiful and a ray of hope in the Dahn. Even during the Corona period. Ok bit smaller card - but something for everyone. Atmosphere is really cozy - upscale - with moderate prices. Always my pleasure

Very nice and friendly service ... Our special requests were dealt with very friendly and understanding. Very tasty and good portions. Toilets very clean. We would love to come back

We only came for ice cream after the castle view, it had THE BEST ice cream in all of EU.

I went here for my birthday. An excellent moment for a Man to want a Large Piece Of Meat. Let' s start off with that, then. I had a T-bone and that was good, even though a bit thin. I know, it's 600 gr but at least 1/3rd of that is bone. It was tender, the seasoning was good, but I have had better for less money. It came with potato croquettes (my choice) and a light salad. Suited me fine. Overall, decent steak. But the feeling of "it could have been better" keeps nagging at me. My wife and kids had burgers, they were happy too. I had a bite; same feeling. Good, not great. And then I saw the floor. And this might be the silly bit of the review but it does matter to me. We were sitting outside. I looked in, through the window. The inside floor was raised and the whole thing looked like a badly built stage. I care about these things. Then, more things started to pop up. The outside furniture was good-looking, but quickly (and sloppily) screwed together. About half the staff didn't speak German, which is fine for me - I can manage perfectly well in English. But a waiter in Germany who doesn't speak German will not charm the locals, I'm certain. Also, the chief waiter, let's say, was apparently the only one who was allowed to accept payments. This is... strange. The service was fine and efficient, but like so many other things here, it seemed... superficially good, until you check under the hood. But maybe I'm just whining. The food was good, the desert was good, there was a little playground for the kids and we didn't get wet when it started raining. Oh, and there were several mice running around. Don't care, it's near a forest and I like mice. But still...

Great burgers! A little expensive, but considering its a resort area, that is normally to be expected. Nice ambiance, and surroundings.

Super eatery, very clean and staff is fix and nice. After only a short wait, drinks and food arrived. Small errors in the order were promptly and unbureaucratically regulated. We will gladly come again

A delicious restaurant in a beautiful location. The burger was a fantastic treat after a day of cycling.
